Keysville Dog Park - Deltona, FL
Keysville Dog Park in Deltona is a true hidden gem! This park has so much to offer, from its scenic trails and charming butterfly garden to the spacious playground for kids. The picnic area is perfect for a relaxing day out, with plenty of tables under a covered roof and grills nearby for a fun barbecue.
One of the highlights is the basketball court, a full-sized area complete with bike rack, benches, and picnic tables around it, making it easy to take breaks or enjoy a meal while watching the game. The court is well-lit, so even as the evening turns to night, you can still enjoy a game of basketball.
For dog lovers, this park is a dream. The dog park area is thoughtfully designed, with separate spaces for small and large dogs, each featuring ramps and other fun toys to keep your furry friends entertained. The park is super dog-friendly, and it's great that you can walk the trails with your dog. Plus, there are two clean restrooms conveniently located just outside the dog park area.
We visited in the early evening, around 5:30 to 6:00 PM, and it was pleasantly uncrowded. The playground was quiet, and the dog park only had one other person, making it a peaceful experience. The butterfly garden, though small, is a lovely spot to stroll through, with beautifully fragrant flowers that add to the park's charm.
Overall, Keyesville Dog Park is a fantastic spot for anyone looking for something to do in Deltona or passing through the area. Whether you're here for the playground, the dog park, or just a relaxing walk, this park is a...
Read moreI was happy to discover Deltona had a dog park and it really is set up well, two sections, one for smaller breeds/dogs, and one for larger. Yes, there is a lot of sand but there is also a large sodded field/area. There are picnic tables and also playground equipment just for dogs which is nice. The problem here is not the city of Deltona, as other users have commented, it is the actual people who go here. There is dog poop everywhere. I have been twice and my dog and I can't even play without stepping in it. I don't mean a pile here or there, I've been twice and it's everywhere! (Most) people in this community who take their dogs to this park do not clean up after their dogs. It is sad that there are so many irresponsible, lazy nasty people that have to ruin something for everyone else. Thanks a lot to those who are ruining something nice built for us to take our best friends to. You people who don't clean up after your dogs and leave it for someone else to clean up or step in really even shouldn't have dogs. Stupid, irresponsible and gross people are ruining it for...
Read moreIts a decent park. Pretty clean as far as I could see. It has a walking trail that skirts around the park. 2 dog pens one for big dogs and one for smaller dogs. They also have some obstacles for them to play on. I do wish they had more obstacles for the dogs to really get thier exercise on and they could have made the pens a little larger as there is plenty of dead space in the park. They have a play ground again very small for children not much for the imagination. Could use more obstacles. I wish they had swings that older children and adults could play on together with thier kids. So far they only have 1 toddler seat. There is plenty of space for expansion on this. They do have a basketball court as well which is nice and the older kids seem to love it. They play there all the time. They also have restrooms on site, a couple benches and grills. There's even a hidden trial if you prefer a more shady route behind the small dog fence if you look carefully thst leads to a small open field which leads to the mane park at...
