D. H. LESCOMBES WINERY & TASTING ROOM — Attraction in Deming

My daughter and I stopped in for a wine tasting recently and were surprised to find such a unique and lovely place tucked away from the main road. I love a good dessert wine and was excited to try the dessert flight. The Port and the Kiva are amazing and honestly two of the most decadent and lovely wines I’ve ever tried; the desserts however were atrocious. They obviously aren’t made by D.H. LESCOMBES. It was obvious they were prepackaged which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. They were so hard and it was nearly impossible to get all the paper off of them. I had to bite bits of them off the paper. If the wines weren’t meant to be paired with a dessert I would have scrapped the desserts altogether. Only two of them had any noticeable flavor. This establishment provides lovely wines, but please please work on your dessert offerings. Maybe find someone local to make items for you every few days? I promise it will pull more people in. I would come regularly myself since there isn’t much to do in Deming. Your dessert wines deserve so...

We found Lescombes family vineyards through an amazing app called harvest host! It’s for boondocking while camping!

Anyways, this HUGE parking lot is perfect to stop over for the evening! We did a couple samplings, maybe a couple too many, if there is such a thing lol.

I do not remember which wine was what but they were all delicious! So much so we bought a bottle of each! If you ever find yourself passing through on the 10, I highly suggest taking a small detour and visiting here.

The staff is very friendly and helpful! Due to local covid regulations there is only outdoor tastings! On February 1, 2021, it was a bit chilly so make sure you dress warmly! We were the 1st tasting since March of last year!! As of February 1 they are open for tasting again!!

My wife and I had the pleasure of taking a much-needed break from visiting family to relax and indulge in some local wines at this lovely winery. We were absolutely blown away by the delicious selection of wine, especially the sparkling wines - they were truly a treat for our taste buds! While they offer tempting food options, we decided to stick with the wine tastings to fully savor the flavors. We were so impressed with a couple of sparkling wines that we just had to purchase a few bottles to take home with us. The only minor critique we have is that we love to learn about the wines while tasting, but the young lady who helped us didn't seem to be as knowledgeable about the winery.
