This was a nice place to get out and walk. The path is paved (as it used to be a golf course) This will make it nice for wet days. They just recently marked the hiking trail, I didn't pay attention to the posts, I just meandered about. There are a few inclines, nothing taxing, but enough for a little workout. There are varying trees and a little bit of water to look at. It feels like you are out in the middle of nowhere but you also no that you are not. The town did a good thing in turning this old golf course into a preserve. .....the only down side is that there are no restrooms at this time. So it would be wise to stop at the Dunkin Donuts or Chik-fil-a up the street before hitting the path.

No bathrooms. Great walk. Could use better markers for trails but really you can sort of choose your own adventure and shorten or extend the walk as you see fit. There is a few places that enable you to cut through to the other legs of the trails. It is about 2.5 to 3 miles depending on how you traverse it. Could probably cut it to 2 miles if you skip some legs. I haven’t tried that short yet. Nice time of year to take a stroll as it is paved and the fall colors are in full swing! Park on the far right of the lot as you enter and enjoy!

What a hidden treasure right smack in the middle of everything. Be prepared to take some hills and if you're on the green trail about 2/3 through there us a poorly marked detour to a dead end. The views to the dead end are terrific but turning around and trying to find the trail break us a pain in the bottom....the break is actually not paved and you have cross an open area to what appears to be a turn around for another trail.

Nice spot that I didn't even know existed prior to being invited here. Really quiet and serene, not even remotely close to being crowded (although maybe it was the time of year that I was there, seeing as how it was early April at the time.) The only drawbacks were that it was sometimes hard to tell where the public areas ended and the privately owned land began at times (some places did have signs marking private property, while others did not and I found myself walking up into someone's backyard by accident,) and it was hard to find my way back to the parking lot when I was ready to leave (there weren't any markers or signs along the paths, and maybe I'm just terrible at finding my bearings but to me each turn looked the same.) In fact, I think the only reason I was able to find my way back to my car was with the assistance of the person I was with (and trust me, I do not want to give them any credit...

Abandoned golf course turned nature preserve. Basically letting Mother Nature take it back. Always see people there. Not tons but on average 6-10 cars in parking lot. Lot is big . The grounds are big with a map posted. Nice place to walk with stream, pond , few little bridges and a few fairly steep inclines toward the back of property. But nothing the average person couldn’t do with a little leg muscle. You won’t be bent over trying to catch your breath for ten minutes . Just a slight burn in the legs if out of shape. Lol! All in all a decent place to walk with family, by yourself or even ride the bike. IMO not worth a long distance car ride to go. If you live within half hour to 40 minutes tops I’d say go for it. I live 20 minutes away but usually stop when passing and I have half hour or more of free time. Enjoyable...
