Amazing lake with lots of wildlife and pristine waters, with Magog, Qc Canada, at its northern end and Newport, VT at its southern end. Surrounded by Owl's head, Mont Orford, Elephantis Mountain and Jay Peak, it feels like you're in Switzerland, when you're on the lake.

Great stroll path. Optimal for a families with young children, stroller friendly path makes a nice family outing experience. Not quite a hike as there are no elevation. The view was great and the air was fresh near a good body of water. Nice spots to eat outside.

The algae and foam very toxic. Swim at own risk or DON'T. Photo is of old Snapping turtle covered in the foam ( posted warning signs near water explain algae & white foam). Beautiful walking path otherwise.

This beautiful lake straddles the border between Quebec and Vermont. It surrounded by quite a few quaint towns and villages that are worth visiting. There is an abundance of wildlife, tons of outdoor activities in the vicinity and the local people are warm and friendly. Some friends and I hired a fishing guide ( Simon Joyal ) and had a super day of fishing and caught our limit of gray trout. I'm still enjoying...
