Nice trails, and athletic fields. There’s a few baseball diamonds and some nice flat soccer fields that I think are open to the public when they’re not in use. There’s also benches and picnic tables and nice views (especially if your at the top of the hill that parks on). The trails are really well maintained, there’s a big circle trail that’s partially smooth concrete and partially ‘nature’ (which just means hard packed dirt, rocks, and roots mostly through the trees) and the concrete trail continues for miles outside of the park so if you want to bike, skate, scooter, blade, run, or whatever you’ll grab plenty of trail to do it on. The nature trails you can’t used wheeled things on but they’re nice for running and walking (I got in a 10k ((6.2 miles)) and I didn’t have to run the same part of the trail more then ounce and I didn’t even reach the end of the concrete trail that continues out of the park so like I said there is plenty of trail to use). Parking lot on the bottom of the hill is good if your there to play disc golf, parking lots at the top are...
Read moreI've grown up in this park and yes, it is beautiful. I am dissapointed in Hershey, though, with all their land. They still refuse to build a quality dog park. If anyone has ever been to John Rudy County Park in York (Emmigsville) you would know how beneficial a LARGE dog park is to the entire community. This park has 15 acres designated to 3 fenced in sections for dogs. It is the most peaceful, entertaining space I've ever seen. Even if you don't have a dog, you'd enjoy just watching them run and play. With so much space the dogs are relaxed and happy, not on top of each other fighting for turf, like smaller parks. Derry Township and Hershey have more than enough space to pull this off and they should. It would not be a liability but rather it would encourage happy, healthy and mentally stable dogs and owners. Come on Hershey. You have MORE THAN ENOUGH LAND. Not every field needs to have a medical building or...
Read moreThis is an excellent park in every way. Tiered parking lots, walking trails, frisbee course, soccer nets, baseball fields, picnic areas, wildlife, playgrounds, shade, park benches and much more. I've spent so much time here over the years and it remains a beautifully manicured, well maintained park which makes outdoor access and sports enjoyable. Shaded walking paths along a stream and some beginner trails great for kids to learn mountain biking. Walk or bike the route parallel to bullfrog valley road to access bullfrog valley pond and the medical center. It's a great place to bring children and a great way...
