Terrible policies. How am I supposed to prove my own son lives with me, nobody carries their child’s birth certificate on them on demand. Better yet no other town would want to go here anyways. Terrible policies/ rules and being a waste of money to get in here are some good reasons not to go. Just go down the road 10 more minutes to wason pond in Chester NH which is a bit smaller but free.
If you live at this lake I apologize that you have to share it with this joke of a place.
I used to go here since 2007 and even then the lifeguards would always be very touchy with their megaphone and always be making up stupid rules (no snorkels for example) they would pick that thing up for fun most of the time. The time I went it was almost completely dead on a beautiful summer day. People don’t want to waste their money to swim here anymore. It was always packed in 2009 or so, and even back then, this place might’ve gotten a max of 2 or 3 stars from me. The lifeguards would always be ruining my vibe as a kid hanging out with my friends.

It was nice that there is both a sand area and a grassy area with some shade. It costs $2 per person to get in ($1 for under 12yrs) so it's not super expensive but I've been to town beaches that are free so not sure why the charge. I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles? There is a little main building with some food but we didn't order any. They didn't check any bags or anything so you could bring in whatever you want. Overall it was an OK time, I'd come back when we have...
Read moreThis is the third time in 5 weeks that they blow the whistle for heat thunder!! They collect our money after raising the price an then kick us out of the water two mins after getting through the gate. They won’t refund anyone who just came in an they literally don’t try to get us back in the water. Like I said three times already this year I paid for multiple people to get in only to be held back from getting in the water. When a lightning strike is 60 miles away there is no reason to kick people out of the water. But they let their kayak rental people stay out...
