Our visit was a spontaneous stop while scouting some hunting land nearby. The hospitality and engagement with my son about the fascinating history of this area left such a good impression. It is a blessing that we still have places like this to show our kids the depth of our local history. But most importantly, It was refreshing and inspiring to see that the people who care to preserve this treasure of knowledge remain devoted in a generation that is quickly forgetting so much about how far things have come. I don't even think it was the size, it just feels lacking in something, and most of the info/artrfacts i have saw at other white river parks, disregarding some purely local history. We did walk around, but i feel like this part of the day's road trip was mainly just to get the stamp. I will say in it's defense that if you haven't vist the other white river parks it's probably informative, and it's located on the way to sumch mucher nicer...
