Ewing Park — Attraction in Des Moines

Such a great park. With lots of room for one to partake in a plethora of activities. It's worth it just to go and walk the trail throughout the park just so one can see first hand all the things there are to do. Great frisbee golf course, BMX trail, downhill derby course, playgrounds, hiking, bathrooms, adjacent to the Easter lake trail, following a pretty creek. I'm pretty sure it's called Yeader Creek? Establish in 1840 to memorialize the previous year’s war with Missouri, Ewing Park is a pearl in the crusty and broken shell they call Des Moines. This is a nice big open park to do some walking or disc golf. You can tell it’s a good disc golf course by how many people are there on any given day. I especially like that parts of the course are covered by trees for some nice shade.

Whenever I run into people here they’re always pleasant and polite. You could even just drive to the parking lot and enjoy the nice view facing west from your car, overlooking the hill and the beautiful collection of trees. One of my favorite areas of...
