My husband surprised me with this animal encounter experience for my Birthday! It was truly a fun experience that involved petting, holding and feeding some very sweet animals.
Booking: reserve your spot for this unique private encounter!
Location: in Lufkin off the highway amongst a neighborhood. It is operated at a home.
Atmosphere: well kept enclosures. Some animals indoors, some outdoors (with proper shelter/heating/etc). Very calm and down to earth. Never felt rushed. Encouraged to ask questions and meet all the available animals.
Service: the owner, Christy, was very nice, energetic and her passion for the animals really shines through. Precautions are taken, as these are still animals, and they are handled with care. These are not just animals to her, these are her family! She is very knowledgeable about their care, life expectancy, and temperament.
Animals: chinchilla, monkey (cannot handle), sugar gliders, snake, Bearded dragon, skink, 2 wallabies (one is albino), several rabbits, tortoise, 2 fennec fox, porcupine, goats, and sloth.
Audience: good for all ages, kids/teens/adults/elderly. If you have a love for animals, this is for you. Cuddle with that adorable fennec fox, wrap the big snake around your neck, let the sugar gliders leap from your shoulder, and pet the porcupine that loves to nibble at your shoes.
Price: I dnt really know since this was a gift but I feel like it was definitely worth it! My husband had a great time too and said he can't wait to go back.

My daughter is obsessed with zoos and she said this blew any zoo out of the water. Scarlet the sloth was awesome! She just hung out and let you pet her & she was so chill with us taking pictures with her. I mean who the heck can say they fed, played, and selfied with a sloth?! The foxes were soooo ADORABLE, playful, and cuddly! Rosie the porcupine was so live! She loves scratches and lovin! And those were just the personal favorites. It was an hour & half drive for us but I forsee us doing it again in the future. So if you are thinking about going...GO! It's a must...

The animals are clearly well-cared for, and the owner, Christy, explains how to safely interact with them. She watches carefully to make sure that they are not put at risk of harm. She also gives you plenty of time to enjoy each one, so you get plenty of time to feed the giant rabbits, cuddle a fennec fox or scratch a wallaby's head before moving on to other animals. There is a nice variety including reptiles, amphibians, and mammals.
While children will enjoy this, I would wait until they are 7-8 years old. It is perfect for older children, teens and adults. I would...
