Absolutely beautiful area. You have to go down a seasonal dirt road to get here and to the campsites. Its a bit of a bumpy ride but people make it w/ huge RV's so its not to bad. The river access is by foot traffic only because you have to go down a pretty steep foot trail to get to the river. If you have a boat you can launch boats at Tippy Dam down the road. There maybe a closer spot I'm just not sure. This is a good spot for Steelhead and Salmon when they make their runs. Like I mentioned theres a campsite located here but I didn't pay much attention to the over all size but its not very big and spots may be limited during peek times. It's $5 for a day pass due to it being a National forest "fee area" which you'll need pay to park here but its well worth if you ask me. Not sure how much camping...
Read moreThe outhouse is nasty and needs cleaned more often and they took away the giant dumpster and have small... problably bear proof ones that are maybe the equivalent of 4 normal sized trashcans, a recycling bin would have been nice as well. The roads completely shot though, no one can get down it with out doing 3 miles per hour which is really bad with the cliff right next to the road. They really should go through and take all the dangerous uprooted trees as well out and maybe leave them by the sign for people as firewood so it doesnt get waisted. They need to spray the area to kill yellowjackets becuase even in 60° their still out. Still had fun salmon fishing...
