Kayaked the Shohola Reservoir mid-summer and found it to be a wonderful haven for wildlife of every description. Covered about 11 miles total and hopped several beaver dams both active and older. Shohola reservoir is a beauty in any season from spring through summer. Perfect for kayakers and boats. There are two boat ramps and both are ample for launching at least two boats simultaneously. Interesting lay downs, shallow and deep spots to fish in and plenty of stumps too....

Kayaked Shohola Marsh Reservoir and as always it was great. Every time I'm here I see Bald Eagles, Herons, Egrets, Cormorants... but this last time I also saw a Black Bear swim all the way across the reservoir right in front of my kayak... one of the craziest things I've seen yet...
