During our visit to Kings Canyon National Park last May, we had the pleasure of stopping at Panoramic Point Overlook, situated at an elevation of 7520 feet. The short 0.5-mile loop hike on a paved path from the parking lot was easy and enjoyable. The trail is lined with beautiful pine trees, creating a serene atmosphere.

Upon reaching the overlook, we were absolutely mesmerized by the breathtaking view of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and the picturesque Hume Lake. The presence of a wooden bench, picnic tables, and an informative panel added to the convenience and enjoyment of our visit.

For those concerned about facilities, there is a well-maintained restroom at the trailhead. Overall, our experience at Panoramic Point Overlook was nothing short of spectacular. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kings Canyon National Park. It's a must-see destination that offers both natural beauty...

A Grande Vista awaits those who take this short trek on a paved, well-marked trail. The trail is 0.5 mile round trip.

From the Vista point you can view Hume Lake, Buck Rock, and the High Sierras including Kings Canyon. Kings Canyon is the deepest canyon in the United States.

There are pit toilet restrooms at the beginning of the trail near the parking lot.

Wheelchair users may also want to know that the trail is a 6 ft wide wheelchair accessible trail. The elevation gain is about 75 feet in total. The average grade is 6.5% with a maximum...

This easy <1 mile round trip hike lives up to the hype! The views into King's Canyon and over Hume Lake are magnificent! And the Sierras in the background are gorgeous! The trail splits into 2 legs, the left is ADA froendly and easier, while the right trail is more steep. Both trails end at the same point! There is also a fire watch area that has fewer folks and an excellent view since it is higher up! After traveling up a narrow mountain road, you're greeted with a 12-14 spot parking lot that may be full in the afternoon timing, but it's worth the work!

The road up here is winding and has quite a few switch backs. Take it slow on your way there and away. Its worth the drive though. The views are stunning. At the highest point you climb to 7520 feet above sea level and the air is thin, so take it easy so you don't get light headed. There's also a massive bolder at the top. The trail up is only a half of a mile there and back and wheelchair accessible, though at points it can be steep. It was worth the walk!
