Nice State Park with the winding roads down a long forested hill to the Rock River below. This is the same Park where President and actor Ronald Reagan was a life guard during his youth. It is said that many young damsels faked drowning to be rescued by this handsome young man. There are numerous shelters nestled in the trees for family gatherings and picnics. Many people go there to walk the trails and fish in the river. There are playgrounds for the kids and a boat launch for the fishermen. I recommend visiting this nice State Park. I forgot to mention the Ruth Edwards indoor nature center as another nice place to stop and visit...

They gave me advice about which trails might be best and warned me about the mosquitoes! It ended up being a quick visit since I wasn't dressed for dealing with mosquitoes, but I hope to be back soon! Also, if you stop by the visitor center, they have a live owl...
