One of the nicest rest areas and tourist information centers on I-70 and it is a tie with Sliver Lake Illinois. Just like Illinois the Welcome Center has plenty of Pennsylvania road maps and tourist brochures to keep you going. Pennsylvania and Illinois are one of the few states to offer road maps. Just to let you know. In Ohio you have to be in the rest area during the day in order to get a map from an employee. I would recommend stopping off here if you needed information on where to go in Pennsylvania. It is right on I-79

Pennsylvania Welcome Center is one of the first stops you should make when visiting the state of Pennsylvania. The welcome center has public restrooms that are kept clean. They also have a ton of brochures and different maps to guide you through the state and the brochures have a ton of information on everything you need to know about Pennsylvania from events to sight seeing. There is a very nice memorial outside as well.

My wife and I love tent camping. It's getting harder to find places with shower houses that aren't RV only. The welcome center attendant knew exactly where to send us and also told us about a classic car museum with cars from the 50's-70's and a Dungeons & Dragons themed coffee house!! This is definitely a full service Welcome Center.

It's a very convenient place to find information on things to do and places to see throughout Pennsylvania. lots of pamphlets and such; but really if you actually go to the place and do the thing then the pamphlets is just to get you there.

I think they also sell some Pennsylvania souvenir items (but I didn't really look to know what else they have.

Restrooms are large and very well maintained. I don't think I've stopped here once and found the bathroom anything less than "good" condition. You can tell when there is an issue with the condition of the restroom, they take care of it right away.

Outside area. You got your standard pets are allowed on one side. And the other side is reserved as a picnic area with some tables and canopy. The only exception to the pets only on the one side is when someone is inconsiderate of others and they just choose to ignore the signs. But there's a special section in hell for those people (and there no manager to complain to).

There's also somehow actually a lot more parking area available than what it'll look like immediately. The location goes over the top of a hill so the far end is hidden from sight...

I've had to stop here a few times, as I travel from Pennsylvania to Ohio and vice-versa a lot. It's very clean, the bathrooms are nice, and they have a lot of pamphlets and maps of things to do and places to go. (mainly in Pittsburgh). They also have a decent vending area with snacks, ice cream, soda machines, and coffee. The only bad thing I've experienced is one afternoon, the lady that was working behind the front desk kept giving me dirty looks and was watching me as if I was going to steal something. I don't know what that was all about but overall it's a nice welcome...
