This is a beautiful natural area but it is nice to go when it has not been raining a lot. There are a lot of stream crossings so when the streams are higher, you are going to get your feet wet. We have done this trail a few times and it is much more enjoyable with dry feet. It is really nice either way though.

Great place for a hike/trail run. Very quiet and peaceful. Roaring run trail has a lot of Creek crossings so be prepared to get your shoes a little wet. Good access point to the trail is the parking lot off painter rock road. From there a short well marked connector trail takes you to the roaring run trail.

Absolutely loved our small visit. We made our way up the mountain to experience the last snow of the season and were not disappointed. Sadly, we weren't dressed for a real hike but we will return in better weather to explore more !

We've visited here twice and been down several of the trails in fall and winter. It's not spectacular hiking, but it does not get the crowds that more popular areas do. The drive on 31 and County Line Road is lovely. The small Fire Tower Road which passes through the area from north to south has one short section which opens up and gives a wide view of surrounding mountains from...
