The best Dog Park in Dothan. Houses a wide open archery range, frisbee golf and lake. The landscaping is always well maintained, even in the dog park. The bathrooms are well maintained as well. The road into the park is dirt and rock which will sometimes be dusty after vehicle traffic if there hasn't been any rain, but other than that it is a great park. The hours of operation throw me off at times. Read moreWe took our dog Cosmo to the Eastgate dog park on a Sunday afternoon in late October. It's way in the back of the park, past the Club house. It's got two sections, one for larger dogs and one for small dogs. The fences are high enough to keep the jumpers from escaping. There are covered sitting areas, several watering stations, and some obstacles for the dogs to play on. It's on a rolling hillside and I'm guessing five or six acres total for both areas. I tried to fish there at the first pond for an hour and a half, but no so much as a nibble. Maybe it needs restocking? I didn't see the second pond, but I think you have to walk a path to it. You can't drive very far into the park, you just have to carry all your gear however far you want to go, so don't bring a lot and wear comfy shoes you can walk far in.
