I've spent the last few evenings sitting in on rehearsals, and let me tell you, witnessing the magic unfold from behind the scenes was even more awe-inspiring than enjoying the final masterpiece on stage. Guuuuyyyys!!! Les Mis was my first Spark experience and I'll tell you 2 things: The program said "student edition", but unless they meant Juliard students, I don't believe it. Mind blowingly magnificent performance; I wouldn't expect better voices, choreo, or acting from a professional company. They seemed apologetic that the show was taking place in the small studio area because the much larger venue there in Dothan is being remodeled, I believe. PLEASE let me tell you that after that amazing in your face, floor level to floor level, basically eye to eye performance in THAT Intimate, close, and cozy of a setting, I would never even want to see it in a larger arena.
