I've been here twice and I love the peace and quiet. If you want to take the full hike...take both trails on either side of the main dirt road (Orlando Trail?)...altogether it's a little more than 2.5 miles of well groomed grassy paths, little bridges and some elevated walkways. Very low exertion and there's a nice variety of things to look at: the Cannon River, the shelters, plenty of deer, birds (pileated woodpeckers), etc. The fall colors aren't dazzling...yellows, greens and browns...but still very nice. A good number of toppled and dying trees...a nice mix. This would be a good place to take your kids...they'll be tired but it's still a very manageable day trip and hike for metro families. Check it out!...

I've done it barefoot a few times. Always worth a trip down the river or a trip for the...

The trails are a little short and flat so it isn't the place for a true hiker, but if you like to be in nature, hear/see birds, and catch some views of the creek and/or river it's a great...
