What a nice little place… I was attending the Octoberfest event in downtown Douglas with friends when we all saw the sign advertising apple picking and apple cider doughnuts at Douglas Orchard and Farm, so we decided to go. I am very glad that we did. It made for a fun afternoon with family and friends. The grounds are beautiful. Tons of land and many animals to see. The girl in the pink shirt was so helpful, friendly, and fun to talk to. It is nice that the farm provides you with a bucket to collect extra apples from the ground for the pigs or apple cider. My daughter had fun doing that. We were also interested in the fact that the apples here are not contaminated with pesticides. I wish that there were more local farms like this in my area. We were pressed for time, so we unfortunately were not able to visit the gift shop but we will plan to return soon after this wonderful visit. I am eating a caramel apple as I am writing this review and it is, I think, the best one I have ever had! We also tried their apple cider at the farm. Very good. My daughter adored the M&M one. My only concern was the limited parking up front. Thank you Douglas Orchard and Farm for a wonderful Saturday afternoon! We will surely be back. Keep up...

Growing up in upstate NY, apple picking was always a big part of my childhood. Now, having a child of my own, this is an activity I’ve always wanted to share with my daughter. Last year, we discovered Douglas Orchards and farm, and had an amazing experience. This year we decided to visit again, and it did not disappoint. The grounds are beautiful, and well manicured. The animals are healthy, happy, and friendly enough to allow a toddler to respectfully pet them. To top it off, the apples and trees are very well taken care of, and have beautiful natural tasty fruit on them. For the past two years, the staff/owners have been incredibly amazing people to talk with and interact with. You can tell they truly care about their establishment, as well as connecting with every single visitor. The gentleman handing out bags for the apples is always a pleasure talking to, and the woman in the gift shop was so graceful. Well worth the hour drive.

I am looking forward to many more years of visiting this orchard, and creating many more memories...

I recently visited Douglas Farm and Orchard, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! The experience was fantastic, and I was particularly impressed by their commitment to organic practices. I’ve always had an allergic reaction to apples, where my mouth gets itchy, but I noticed that didn’t happen here. The owner explained that their no-pesticide approach is likely the reason, and it’s clear they prioritize health and quality.

What stood out to me was the owner’s extensive knowledge. They took the time to explain how the absence of pesticides can affect the appearance of the apples, but assured me that the flavor and quality remain top-notch. It’s refreshing to shop somewhere where you can truly understand what you’re buying.

The atmosphere is lovely, and the variety of apples is impressive. If you’re looking for a great place to buy fresh, healthy produce, Douglas Farm and Orchard is the perfect choice! OH and the donuts are the best I’ve...

What a positive and delightful place to visit. This was a first visit for us and how enjoyable it was. We went for the apple cider donuts we've heard about, but unfortunately, that season is over. Good news, we found hot honey. The gift store has a variety of homemade goods and food. Such a lovely experience! 3 bell rings for the owners 😁

We just stopped by this beautiful working farm and general store. What a delightful place. Farmer Nick has extensive knowledge in sustainable food and farming and he give the "back-story" on everything they produce and sell.
