I purchased a puppy from Steve Fehr who has different addresses, I believe is a puppy broker/puppy mill, is involved in Project Puppy Love that brokers puppies from puppy Mills and was not available when I made an appointment several hours ahead of time to look at his puppies for sale. At the time of purchase there was no paperwork available except through texting (questionable) and I was told the paperwork including a health report, a one year genetic guarantee, a contract, the information about the parents, a purchase agreement and a receipt would be mailed. I never received info on parents, a purchase agreement, and a purchase receipt. I was told a man named Dave was the seller in the beginning and then saw Steve Fehr on the medical report. Eventually I spoke with the actual seller Steve Fehr and he wouldn't tell me much about the parents and I voiced my concerns about receipts and purchase agreements. He assured me that what I received was sufficient and that a genetic health guarantee was included that offered a refund if any problem came up within a year but I'd have to pay all of the vet bills regarding the issues. After our first visit to the vet they found a hernia which I was told would go away on its own by the seller, which was not true and which in turn brought a recommendation NOT to breed this puppy as hernias, in most cases, are genetic and are passed down and the hernia could cause severe health problems throughout a pregnancy. I contacted Steve Fehr and asked if the puppy had ever been injured he said no. And so I explained if there was no injury then the puppy was born with 2 genetic defects, the hernia and crooked tail and I informed him that my vet said he shouldn't be breeding the dogs that are passing these genetic defects. He then offered to give me another puppy at no charge and that I could keep the puppy with the genetic defects. I explained I'd rather have a refund and at that point he said he wanted the dog back if he had to give a refund. At first he was concerned about the puppies well being but when it came to a refund or a compromise he insisted that he wanted the puppy back. Why would I give a puppy back if I'm responsible for all vet bills and so on? This makes no sense. It is my opinion that Steve Fehr is running a puppy mill and isn't who he tries to present himself to be. He owns a puppy transport business along with his puppy mill and hides his actual income through fake brokers so he can avoid paying taxes. I strongly recommend steering clear of this breeder unless you want a dog that's been treated badly and bred with...

We met the owner and toured the place, took some time and thought about it. When we made our decision to have our wedding here we tried to contact the owner, she was not responsive. We FINALLY got a hold of her and she agreed to meet with us to sign the contract and never showed up. She set the date and time and when my fiancé drove a half hour to meet and take a final tour, put the deposit down and sign the contact the owner was a no show. We tried calling and leaving messages before leaving and didn't hear back and never heard from her again. A waste of our time - we had to start from scratch and get a new venue and a new wedding date. Planning a wedding is stressful enough to deal with this on...
