Such a stunning experience! Parking: GET. THERE. EARLY! This parking lot, though quite large, WILL fill up on a weekend by 8:30am-9:00am. I got there at 6:15 am. on a Saturday (Labor Day weekend), and there were maybe 8 cars there. By the time I got back to my car by 9:00am, the lot was so full people were parking a quarter mile away on the street!

Hike experience: I FINALLY saw a moose! Not just one either, but 4 throughout my hike as well as 3 deer. All of them, including the moose, were so close (less than 5 feet from me!). They were so quiet that I didn't even notice some of them until I heard a branch snap, then I turned and looked and boom, a big'ole moose right there! Lol. One Moose walked across the trail to hidden falls right in front of me and a few other hikers. So unreal!

Caution: Bring bear spray! There are bears on this trail. I didn't see any on my hike, but they are there.

Overall: Stunning experience! Stunning hike! Would definitely...

If you're a real hiker and are accustomed to nice payoffs, then this may be a bit disappointing like it was for my wife and me. I'm all for accessibility, and it is extremely easy for thousands of people to make the trip to this area every day. We chose to hike the Horse Trail to get there, and the trail was awesome - way better than the overrun Jenny Lake Trail, but once we got to the end, we were pretty disappointed. The waterfall was crawling with people - literally people were climbing up the rocks to get up near the top for pictures, and there were several hundred people there at the same time. The waterfall itself was fine, but there are quite a few in this part of the country, so I didn't see what the huge deal was, especially given the insane hell it was to find parking. It was one of the more time-consuming and underwhelming things I've ever done in a...

A couple of ways to get there. The easy way is to take the boat over to the west side of Jenny Lake. Round trip is $15 for adults, less for kids. From the West boat dock, Hidden Falls is about .6 miles. Fairly easy uphill hike. Be sure to go to Inspiration Point along the way. You can also hike around Jenny Lake to the Falls. Depending on which direction you travel, the hike is either 3.1 miles (going south), or a little over 6 miles, (going north). One way boat rides ($9 for adults) are also available from either the Jenny Lake boat dock or from the West dock. It is popular so be prepared to be with lots of other people. There was a black bear swimming in the water by the West dock the last time we were there....

This was by far one of the best experiences on my trip to the Tetons Mountains. You purchase a ticket to ride the boat across Jenny lake. It’s beautiful the whole way to the trail heads. Then you hike through the beautiful mountain forest. All along the way you hear the roar of the falls getting louder and louder. Until you walk up and see its majesty and all its wonder! It’s an easy hike that most would be able to get to and enjoy. It’s not a race but the last boat back to main land ends at 7:00pm. Then you would have to hike 3 miles around the lake to get back to the car area. I say go early and really take your time, enjoy the other trails around the falls! You will love this place if you’re a water fall freak like me!

Hidden Falls is a true hidden treasure nestled in the heart of Grand Teton National Park. The waterfall is powerful, serene, and incredibly scenic—an absolute must-visit! We took the shuttle boat across Jenny Lake and hiked a short, well-maintained trail to reach the falls. It’s an easy-to-moderate hike that’s family-friendly and filled with gorgeous forest views and the sound of rushing water as you approach. When we reached the falls, we were blown away by the sight—water cascading down nearly 100 feet surrounded by lush greenery and dramatic rocks. It’s the perfect spot to pause, take photos, and soak in the peaceful beauty of nature.
