Real nice outdoor recreation spot. Boat rentals make it easy to get out on the water, but it can get busy on the weekend. $5 launch fee if you bring your own boat(electric motors or unpowered only). I've personally never caught much here, but it's still picturesque enough to have a good time. Theres a snack shop too if you need a drink or ice cream. It's fun to drive through in the evening and see all the deer walk around too.

Had a great camping trip with my scout group at Muddy Run. We went for a hike around the lakes that was a little over 4 miles and camped in one of the primitive sites. It was a great campsite and the restrooms and showers were only about 200 yards from the campsite. Gorgeous hiking trails, lots of fishing opportunities, and the observatory was fun as well. Highly recommend, and plan on going back.

Great campground. We had very friendly campers all around us! You can rent boats and fish very inexpensive. The Indian pow wow was spectacular, dancing, food and great crafts. everything I looked at was handmade. If you go and stay in the overflow, take at least a hundred feet of water hose. I highly recommend staying here

We visit here once a week in the summer just to walk and enjoy the scenery or have lunch! We also camped here a couple of weeks ago and I LOVED our experience! We had an excellent campsite and everything was clean and well maintained! It was exactly what you'd want and expect for a great family get away! No alcohol allowed but we had four adults and drank all weekend without any problems. We were just sure to not bring attention to ourselves, fire out by 1am and disposed of all our cans/bottles and had covers on our drinks to...

What a beautiful natural resource, complete with an educational set of displays on the local history of hydro electric power plants, on the solar system, & on the trails & waterways of the park and it's surrounding! Well-maintained playgrounds; open fields, trails, & walkways; picnic areas as well as nature & stargazing programs; & even a public campground make this a true gem tucked in the countryside for fun family...
