Me and a small group of some close friends had planned a little get together where we all dressed up in homecoming attire because as well all know Covid took that away. My best friend’s mom called two weeks prior to reserve the gazebo for Saturday November 7. I was told that she had paid for us to have it until around 8 pm or so granted the park changed its closing time to 7pm. We were all just hanging out, dancing and singing a little and had a nice little potluck dinner. However around 7, a park ranger pulled up and proceeded to get out of his truck to tell us we needed to leave. While all of us have been taught to respect authority, the ranger was very rude towards us and told us we had 5 minutes to pack up/clean up the area and leave before he closed the gates. We did that. I had brought along some christmas lights to hang up for cute decorations and ofc to light up the area. He told me to leave those and come back the next day to grab them. The next day when I went to grab them, they were gone. I called the office and it took me straight to voicemail. On Monday, there was a meeting between my friend’s mom and some employees of the park. She told them they owed all of us an apology and demanded a refund. They refused to apologize because we were supposedly in the wrong. The ranger played the victim and said he was trying to do his job, and I fully respect that, however he said that it looked like a “wild” party and that there was alcohol. There was absolutely NO alcohol considering most of us were underage. The bottle that was the suspected alcoholic beverage, was a bottle of sparkling grape juice from Walmart. I never got my lights back and I had 2-3 rolls of them...
Read moreWonderful park. I only visited the playground, but it was so nice. We found it by searching Google maps on our road trip. The playground is really big with regular sized playground equipment (3 slides plus everything else) and a miniature size right next to it, so that made it easy to follow my two year old around and watch my six year old at the same time. I was also glad because it's stressful to have the two year old on the big equipment. The park also had a lot of swings in various sizes. There were four baby swings. One set was low and the other was higher. There were six (I think) regular swings at various heights. The playground area had benches and picnic tables as well. A pavilion with plenty of tables was not too far, too. I saw a net set up in the grass. Across the way was a water park, but I didn't...
Read moreRandolph Park is a great area for family recreation and sports. I haven’t been to all parts of the park because I only visit to watch my granddaughter’s travel softball team compete. There are 4 lighted fields with a tower for scorekeepers and announcers in the middle of the fields. There are paved walkways to parking areas on 2 sides of the ball fields and there is a paved walking track around the complex. There is a large concession stand with equipment to prepare hot food, like hot dogs, plus a popcorn machine and large coolers for drinks. The restrooms are large and can accommodate 6 people using the facilities at once. One stall is handicap accessible. The park has always been clean and well-maintained when I’ve been there. In addition to ball fields there are multiple basketball courts, tennis courts and an...
