We stayed near the park in a campground and wish we would have stayed a few nights in Shoshone, we did do a day camp there and it was beautiful!! We met a very nice forest volunteer by the name of Walter I believe, we just call him the bear guy now. He was so nice and knowledgeable, he helped us see our first grizzly, and actually there were 3 together when we saw them it was awesome! We also saw a moose, bison, elk and tons of deer. We had the best time that day and actually enjoyed Shoshone more than Yellowstone. Hope to come back one day and stay for...

The Shoshone National Forest is an amazing place to visit. The scenery is spectacular, and you will have many photo opportunities while you're here. The history in this area is amazing, along with the wildlife. Mountain goats, deer, and bear are among some of the animals that can be found in this stunning National Forest.
