I Always enjoy exploring around moon lake , there's allot of history there, allot of legends, paranormal activity has been talked about happening in this place. But aside from the myths and ghost stories, the past and the eagerness I have to learn about it... this place is beyond beautiful. The mystery of this lake makes it more intriguing, but it's peaceful. The fact that I go here once a week minimum, it surprises me each time I go how empty the beach is. It's not crowded and it's in the middle of nowhere, it's breath taking and there's so many different trails that go to different places

Half the campground was nice and half was not so much. The lake and area are very pretty, but doubt I'll make the 3 hour drive again.

Great lake. You can rent boats locally here. We caught a few fish from shore. Stayed at the group site nearby.

Although I want to make this very long and detailed, I am going to keep it short so people will read. When we arrived at our camp this last weekend it was pretty destroyed. Shortly after getting there the hosts pulled up and informed us of a flash flood the night before that had taken out half the campground. They had been working all day on cleaning the place up, but it was a lot of work. They offered us a different site that hadn't been hit and we happily accepted, although we would have kept our original site if we needed to. The hosts gave our kids giant lollipops that were about the size of their heads, as well as giving one of our kids a flag because he liked the one they had on their cart. This place is beautiful, deer roam the campground, the resort next door is awesome, and the lake has some hard to beat views. Between the hosts being awesome and the beauty of the place, it is a place we will be taking our...

Moon Lake is a beautiful place to spend quality time with family. The campground was quiet, the lake was gorgeous, and having the little mini-store and taco shop right there was incredibly convenient. We had an amazing time, and I’ll absolutely be coming back. Hopefully, the water levels are higher next year — it’s too good of a place to miss out on.

The only disappointing part was the lack of open access trails near the campground. The only one I could find on AllTrails was closed, and a place like this would really benefit from having more destination trails within...
