Magney-Snively Natural Area — Attraction in Duluth

Great spot around the middle of the Superior hiking trail. Great hiking,biking, and backpacking spot with free overnight parking. Ely's peak is 0.9 miles away from the lot and is a very beautiful and exhausting trek. If you're into bouldering, many say this is the best spot for bouldering in MN (though I haven't done any yet). I will probably come back here for a section hike and some climbing. I highly recommend this area for a day hike, biking, or a backpacking trip. (Pics are on the mountain...

This place is awesome. Pretty much every recreational trail available: Sightseeing, hiking, biking, snowmobiling, fourwheeling, skiing, snowshoeing, and more... the are has been ravished by the 2012 flood. The bridges have been fixed, but some of the foot trails are in need of attention. With miles of trails, and close enough to the city-- I would tell you to visit....but I want it all to myself,...

Very picturesque with many photogenic areas and usually very quiet and serene. Some areas marred by graffiti but by and large, a well-maintained area that's easy to get around for people of all ages. Definitely bring along a good camera for this one. Easy to get to from the highway. Don't miss out if you're passing through the area. Be sure to fuel up before you begin...
