Let me start off by saying, if you’re reading other negative reviews that are angry about the rocky terrain, their not wrong! But giving an ATV trail park a one star review because of the geology of where it’s located, is kinda crazy in my mind! Yes, it’s rocky and the trails are rocky and technical, but still an amazing time with incredible things to see.
Also, yes, lost trails kinda made a mess of the old hiking trails that volunteers used to maintain. But when it comes down to it, Mother Nature isn’t going to care if it’s a worn out ATV trail, hiking path, or a small game trail... When people are gone from this planet, wether it’s a zombie apocalypse Or Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, the woods will take back its rightful place!!! So in the meantime, if anyone is going to be enjoying the beautiful views and historic ruins of the Gravity Railroad on an ATV, it’s going to be me!
I’ve been hiking here since around 2012, though it’s not recommended or safe, the employees giving tours and doing trail maintenance always gave me a wave and a smile when I obviously wasn’t patronizing their business. In turn, every once in a while, I’d bring a garbage bag and pick up some garbage and debris that had accumulated over the years. If you’re looking to do this, please go on a day their not open! Not saying this because I don’t want to see you there, because it’s a super peaceful and stress free hike (as long as you know the trails) and having to jump into the woods because the trails are tight and these machines can come up fast, is dangerous! Lost trails (Top Of The Workd) is a hidden gem of the Scranton/Dunmore area and needs to be enjoyed!!! So get up there and have a...

The 90 had a real rough time in most parts, and it killed his motivation at about the 1.5 hour mark. He stayed at the truck with my wife and I went back out with the 10 yr old.
Pros: Easy to find, simple and straightforward directions. Most of the trails are clearly marked, and there are a significant amount to choose from. Wasn't crowded and everyone we encountered was friendly, even helped me out of a mud jam. 6 hours of riding and didn't do the whole park. There are a significant amount of side trails and stuff chewed out by riders that are not on the map. Those were fun. The tunnel is really cool and there are some striking views all around.
Cons: Be ready, there are rocks. Some trails are more of a rock quarry than a worn trail. Once you are out, there is no real easy way back so be prepared to ride on many, many rocks. Did I mention there were rocks? Most trails are carved into the hill/mountain, so for the most part you are riding up or riding down. Some places where you can open up the throttle, but not many.
Overall, not bad. Given it was our first time there and I had two little guys with me I was unprepared. It was a much tougher ride than I had anticipated and felt it was fairly easy to lose your way. Get ready to really ride, expect hard riding, and BRING PLENTY OF WATER. I wouldn't go up the hill with anything less than a 110cc, and be real aware of which trail...
Read moreVery disconcerning. The staff sets a very poor example for safety. They would escort an ATV tour group and not use a helmet themselves. The parking lot is more dangerous than the trails. No enforcement of any of their safety rules. Several of the riders continues to wheelie around the parking lot, ride at excessive speeds and ride eratically in the lot with Zero enforcement from the staff. The staff just simply has no regard for the safety of all other guests. Most of the riders would ride without Any trail etiquette and have no respect for their fellow riders. My family and I have ridden ATV/Dirtbikes for about 10 years. We have ridden on many trails thoughout Pennsylvania and Virginia. Never have we ever encountered so many reckless and inconsiderate riders as in this place. For example, there were about 2 riders behind me at one point, and they basically ran me off the trail, causing me to fall off my bike, and instead of anyone helping me they just laughed, reved up their engine, and tossed mud right on me. Its a disgrace to see the type of riders that this place has attracted. This place is a disaster just waiting to happen. It seems obvious that Lost Trails has lost their mind by allowing something like this to happen. This leads my family and I to believe that Lost trails has no regard in the safety of their guest. If they did, they would enforce their rules and send those making the place unpleasant packing. Definitely NOT a family...
