Ok first and foremost - this was the most misleading set of reviews EVER! If you don’t get out often into the wilderness or are a every so often hiker this isn’t an easy hike. MODERATE is being generous. This was the most populated hike I’ve been on in a long time. There is bathrooms at the trail head definitely use them before you hike in. The trail narrows to a single path about 3/4 of the way thru and is not at all stroller friendly. Some rougher terrain and is obviously broken up by several creeks in the rainy season. Thankfully it’s the dry season and they were all dried up today but makes for a more challenging hike for kiddos and as mentioned before no strollers. However, it was Beautiful! The total trip realistically takes about 3 hrs round trip given a 30 minute stop at the falls. Lots of stops made along the way to let people pass so if there aren’t as many people you could get away with doing this in an hour each way. Gorgeous and was worth it at the end. Bring shoes for the water if you plan...
Read moreOh wow, what an absolutely beautiful waterfall, just wow! As for the hike, there really isn't much direction, so you need to read this review are others because their is no directory, no visible parking. Okay so when you get there park on the side of the street near the stop sign. You will see like a blue pool and some large cemet blocks (see pictures). When you first enter there are signs along the trail that say private property that implies to the outskirts of the trail, so again stay on the trail. You will past a blue car to your right, later a wood bridge, then once you get to the fork you'll see a sign saying go straight. From there you'll end up in front of another fork, go to your right you'll see a yellow car stuck in the trees. Make sure you listen to the creek follow that until you hear the waterfall, you will have to cross a log. This trail is extremely mudly, fun for all ages, easy just extremely muddy! Like supper muddy, wear...
Read moreHeads up - Please map out the route ahead of time and be alert if you’re on this hike, it’s pretty easy to get lost on unmarked private property. There are a lot of forks and criss -crossed paths - it’s very easy to get confused. The few trail markers are hard to see and find. For the waterfall, go LEFT twice. The second sign is hidden to the right before the fork, and we didn’t see it when looking around the first time. We got lost going the wrong way at the waterfall fork, then found the intersection again. Gave up on the falls cause we’d gone so far, then went what we all three agreed was the way we came in, and somehow ended up deeeep in the woods. We were with no service for quite some time, trying out various trails, started to get nervous, then thankfully service came back and we were able to use one person’s Android map to find the way to the main trail. I guess we’ll deal with the...
