Dyer Central Park — Attraction in Dyer

Nice park. Seems like new ball fields. Parking is not the best. You’d think they would have thought about the parking setup. The tournament we were at went late into the night. So, the bathrooms for the 8am games were being cleaned at 7:45am. The girls cleaning the bathroom would not let me go to the bathroom while they were cleaning it because they were “using chemicals.” I found that laughable. As if I don’t clean my own bathrooms at home. Garbage cans were over l flowing. Maybe clean before people show up? That’s an idea.

This area needs attention. Still unfinished after years. Floods terrible. No trees. Soccer fields need help. The baseball fields are in total disarray. It could be nice, but deserted before finished. Only decent "looking" finished area is dog park. I don't have a dog though, and never been inside. I heard it was very expensive to register a dog there. No playground equipment. Bathrooms never opened. Very difficult to leave because of high-speeding,...

As a visitor in town, tried to take my son’s dog to the very nice dog park. There were 0 other dogs in the big dog section. I could not enter because I am not a town card holder. I’m guessing the park is paid for with tax dollars? Yet, it is exclusive? What a terrible lack of hospitality,...
