Trapp Farm Park — Attraction in Eagan

Very nice scenic park. Their neighbors are lucky to have a nice park like that nearby. Lots of perennials and greenery, nice trees and it is gently rolling. Paths for walking and jogging. I went there on a beautiful summer day but the description of the park online says that is a great place for snow tubing with a nice hill for that, snow tubes available. Nice Lake there but it was a bit green, but that happens to many lakes as the summer progresses. It had a very nice modern park building with meeting places and a preschool area for children. Next to it is a very nice park shelter that could accommodate large groups. I'm sure one would have to make a reservation for that. There also is a fire pit. They have a beach volleyball area near the lake. Lots of parking to accommodate many cars. I hope to see Trapp Farm Park during all four seasons. We hosted our daughter's 6th birthday party here and it was an awesome experience. The new space is great for hosting parties (we had about 40 people attend) and we all fit reasonably comfortably when we ate. Someone was there right at 5, had the door open and got out all the tubes for us. He even offered to help us set up. We had about 20-25 kids ranging from 2 to 9 years old. Parents also came out and it was a really fun, family event. For what you get, the price is absolutely awesome (even if you can only rent it out Monday-Thursday). If you plan ahead and ask people if they can attend on a week night, then you'll be fine. We did it on Monday and everyone we invited was ale to make it. Nice park depending on your reason for going. There's a large playground with connected seating area and a large dock for fishing in the pond, as well as a boat ramp. Paths are paved and well maintained but they are not very long and you could easily get through the whole park in under an hour. One of Trapp Farms' best features is its large picnic shelter with kitchenette and indoor restrooms perfect for events like graduation parties, kids' birthdays, and even community wide events such as hosting the annual pumpkin giveaway every October.
