JB Owens Sports Complex — Attraction in Easley

This place would usually get 3 stars from me, but driving over an hour here for the incompetent people who run this place to tell us our game has been pushed back 2 hours due to the fields being wet…… work on the fields! It’s not like we don’t pay enough to be here!

Why are you checking the fields 30 minutes before the game starts? Whose job is that? Should they not have been here at 5:30am checking them knowing people come from all over? And please don’t act like they don’t get paid to do so. Not only are there tournament fees for each team but you also charge for every spectator! Yall should really do better.

I’ve also been here multiple times when a two day tournament was supposed to be played and the next day was going to be a complete wash out. They don’t care it’s about the money. They will keep it as a two day tournament knowing the kids have NO chance of playing the next day. And for the little ones that work hard for those rings. They don’t get them when they cancel the second day. Even if they do win.

It’s a nice facility but maybe put more money towards what matters. Like fixing your fields after it rains. I don’t care if the trees and bushes LOOK nice. We are here...

This was the first year my daughter has played any sports and we tried this location for her to play basketball. They had trouble finding coaches and her coach let me know he was contacted and asked to do a favor for someone and fill a spot. Not sure how the children are placed on teams but my daughter got placed on the leftover team I guess. We are two games in and it’s a disaster. Her coach doesn’t care and doesn’t even want to be there. She is being set up to fail. We don’t even get to practice and the coach doesn’t care. Don’t waste your $80 I recommend any other place to let your child play basketball. I would take my daughter out at this point but she said she’s going to make the most of it and have fun so I am proud of her for that. Just a thought. I went here for an weekend basketball state tournament and was impressed with the number of gyms. There are 3 gyms total. At the games, we (me,my team,and my team) won third. We were kinda excited but we wanted to have won first. Duh who doesn't. There is an elevator in this place so you can get to the upstairs level. There's only two floors. Also there is a huge track that goes around two of the basketball courts which we used first warming up and it was helpful. There was room for 8 teams,their families, and their coaches. Also bekah did well at her threes. Also there is a playground and a football field and some other stuff outside. So das cool I guess. I'm writing this review as a pleased visitor...
