I come to Seiple for the pumpkin patch, as I expect most people do. Before you get there though, you will have to park in the grass. That's never been a problem in the past, but something to keep in mind. The parking lot attendants are usually pretty good at keeping things moving smoothly and organized. To get to the patch, you have to take a hayride that lasts about 2 or 3 minutes and is quite bumpy, but that's part of the fun for most people. They always have a great selection of different pumpkins, squashes, and gourds. Free bags are provided at the entry to the patch, and there is a small stand usually selling cider and small snacks. One quick hayride back will leave you at the entrance to the building where the vegetables are purchased. They always have carving tools, candles, and other last minute pick ups you may need, and the process of checking out is always quick. Note: I believe it's a $10 minimum for cards, and they have an atm outside the door.
Seiple also has a variety of other attractions like food stands, small vendors, and carnival rides. I never come for this stuff. While simply having these things isn't a problem, most of the visitors spend their time in this area of Seiple. Meaning the pumpkin patch is not very crowded (a good thing) but this area is always very crowded (not a good thing). The food is your typical carnival fare (nothing special), the rides are about as safe looking as you'd expect, they have sad horses walking in a circle for kids to ride on, a small patting zoo with some farm animals, and a handful of interesting vendors that usually change from year to year.
Overall my family has chosen Seiple for the last few years because they have a little bit of everything, and for what it's worth, even though they are always packed with people, the workers do a damn good job of keeping the place running smoothly, so all the credit...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my first time coming here and I absolutely did not expect what it actually was. This place is so big and so much to do. First, the parking is so organized and well done that it was easy to pull in and out when needed.
The line for the hay ride to the pumpkin patch was definitely long, but you didn't even notice because who ever runs this place seriously has it running like a machine. For every 2 trailers taking people TO the pumpkin patch there is 2 trailers taking people FROM the patch it is so well done and seamless you don't even realize you're waiting. The pumpkin patch in itself is awesome. Its so vast with so many different types of pumpkins and gourds it was so much fun picking different ones out and such fun seeing our kids enjoying themselves and picking out their own pumpkins.
Back at the main part of the farm there is so much to do from rides, seeing farm animals and eating awesome comfort foods, but what my son absolutely loved was the horse back ride. My son is 3, and he was absolutely in love with riding a horse all by himself (guided obviously). It only cost $5 dollars to ride around twice and that was enough to bring Absolute joy to him!
The decorations they had where you can take photos are so well done and beautiful we took such great family photos here and me and my fiancƩ are even using a photo we took here as our wedding invitations.
Honestly this place is clean, well organized, socially distanced well and run so efficiently its amazing. This was such a great way to spend the day with the family away from cell phones and tv and all the distractions we all face each day and just enjoying family, friends and fun. Well done Seiple Farm and my friends and family will be back and highly recommend checking it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHuge 200 acre farm with a lot of fall festivities like the hayrides to the pumpkin patch, corn mazes, pony rides, food stands, a small store and even small rides. They do have animals you can see but we didn't visit that part this time. It's s beautiful farm, and it is VERY busy.
I'd say about half of the people there (workers and guests) were wearing masks. Their website has a small tagline requesting guests to follow CDC guidelines, but I personally didn't notice any signage on the farm. To each his own, but me and my kids had our masks on the entire time.
The only other negative was the prices of the food and activities. The hayride to the pumpkin patch is free, just pay for the pumpkins. We grabbed one pretty small pumpkin and it was just under $3 ~ .60 c per lb I believe. The pony rides are $5 for two times around the small circle, but if you want the "unicorn" it's $10 and you get a "photo op" LOL 𤷠When you have 2 kids and they see said unicorn your out 20 bucks real quick! My kids also chose 1 ride - the swings that they would both go on. 4 tickets for the ride, so 8 tickets total = $10!!! That's insanity. A funnel cake was $6 and a bucket of fries ( they were delish) was $8 Nice place, HUGE pumpkin patch, but prepare to spend a pretty penny in...
