The park itself is nice, but if you're not familiar with it and look up Google directions, be sure you get directions to a specific parking lot for what you want to do. The East Brandywine Trail is the paved flat one if you want an easy walk after lunch, and the best parking area is the one near 322 and Bradford Av, which gets very busy on weekends and after work on nice days. Getting directions to the "nature area" takes you to some private homes with no parking area, the parking area allegedly on Skelp Level Road is poorly marked and tiny and in the woods, and the Shadyside Road area was blocked off due to bridge closure and road closure. I spent as much time finding an access point where I could park as I did walking on the paved trail. Google Maps needs to be improved with respect to the access to this park. Most of the trails are very well marked. I hesitate to give this a "5 star" review because of the noise of Route 322 but the natural surface trails are...

I allow my dog off-leash, when the situation permits. I always "leash-up" when others come by, especially mountain bikers. I find others don't care about the posted, but unspoken courtesy they should afford other hikers, and if I "leash-up", I expect it in return. So I then and spitefully; leave my now defenseless dog off leash also. I won't leash up if you don't ! Be a responsible dog...
