I used to love coming here and bringing my out of state family to view and enjoy the falls. Unfortunately they are not monitored and the last few years it has gone downhill and it is no longer an enjoyable experience. There are usually families gathered at the falls with loud music and grills and you can't even take pictures since people are swimming and using as a watering hole for bathing. There was even bottles of Heineken in the parking lot.

I really wish that it could be monitored more and those activities restricted, so others that just want to sit and enjoy natured creation for a little while can do so in peace. There is a seperate picnic and area for bathing that can be used on the other side of the falls.

Wadsworth Falls has staff on-site and is much more enjoyable. I don't think I will be going back to Devils Hopyard. It's a little embarrassing that such a nice state park is allowed to be ruined by people's....I'll let you fill...

I personally would stay at campsite 1 to 9, 20,22 the others are on the left side I would prefer to be uphill and away from the water which would possibly have more insects. 22 is immediately on the left next to road.... 20 is one or two in really close to the water but there is something appealing about that spot. Campsite 10 is the furthest from the entrance but I wouldn't like that one potential headlights coming around the turnaround. Bathrooms are in the...

Good small waterfall with a number of spots to sit, picnic and dip your feet in (or even take a dip in the water). Parking is across the street and not too many spots but we went on labor day and didnt have difficulty finding a spot. Will definitely go back.

Also toddlers/kids friendly spots to just sit in the water and relax with kids. Of course labor day may not have too much water flow and earlier in the summer may be different. So use your best judgment...

What a great trail and amazing views. Could walk with one bottle of water. No outrageous uphill climbs. We spent about 3 hours on two different trails. I wish parents would tell their children they aren’t alone - others didn’t come to hear them - we came for the peaceful nature. Pack a trash bag, apparently some guests see it as a chance to finally unload their trash.

Beautiful waterfall and was great in spite of the fact we haven't had any rain recently. I caution however, the path to the best point to observe/photograph the falls near the bottom gets very slippery between the rock ledge, leaves, and water from the falls. Just be cautious. Parking lot small as many observed so try to get there early.
