Here's a hint. You don't have to hike to see the waterfall. It's right at the entrance. If your here to hike this review is for you.. Many people take the orange trail looking for a waterfall when there's none. If they even make it.. its really not that far. Orange is just a tad difficult hoping over and under trees and trailing through mud and supergrown tree roots...fun. l've gotten lost here twice on the white and orange trail. The white trail leads along the forgotten camp site that if you wander in its not as clear where to get back on the the trail as there's no mark! The orange trail has quite a bit of fallen trees and marked trees that have rotten or fallen and there are paths that divide off the trail that look trodden but no markings on those. So good luck there... it's rewarding to reach the top as it's pretty much a steady incline up. Exhilarating you might say...but no markings as to where the overlook is till you trod down there. I'll be hiking the red and yellow soon. The yellow kinda has me worried as I'm sure not many people hike that one and if the orange is in such a bad...

It is funny that you can grow up right next to a place and never see it. I was raised 15 minutes from this park and both of us spent a lot of time at the campgrounds down the road and never entered this park before. With the campgrounds that we grew up in around the corner that cover a large amount of space to explore and some good natural amenities the campground here definitely leaves much to be desired. But have no fear, sightseeing and hiking are here!! The water falls at the campground side of the park are great to see and have some really good picture spots! The hike is a moderate level hike with some good hills and some rock climbing needed but so fun to explore. There are a number of blazed trails and you can spend a couple of hours exploring them as we did. It is a great place to sit by the water and eat your lunch or look over a cliff (Unless your afraid of heights like my Wife is!!!!). Ok so it is time for our traveling scavenger hunt. See if you can find the places in the picture identified with Scavenger Hunt and leave...

Its a nice place. Good for hiking, fishing. But the trails are a bit rocky. You can follow the trail sign. It’s dog friendly but very small dogs won’t be make it probably. The parking place is huge. Should not be any problem. There’s one parking for the falls another one for the state park. The third one for the campground. You can find the trail maps from the QR code in the board - right in front of the covered bridge. The orange trail ( around 2.5 miles) seems the longest. There were signs to be aware from bears. So, suggested to go with groups. I loved the Chapman falls so much. we went almost near tot the falls. During autumn, it will look awesome. We went at the beginning of fall season. The only drawbacks I can say is there’s no proper restrooms. There were CSR’s , the movable ones. Apart from that, Overall , a great place. Will visit again. Pavilion was also there for birthday celebration. Its bit difficult for elderly or children, otherwise okay. Visit in...

Nice place for hiking. But the trails are a bit rocky and rooty(tree-roots). Not for beginners. It’s dog friendly but very small dogs won’t be make it probably. The parking place is huge. You can find the trail maps from the QR code in the board - right in front of the covered bridge. The orange trail ( around 2.5 miles) seems the longest. There were signs to be aware from bears. So, suggested to go with groups. Visit after a few days of rain. You will see a rushing waterfall - the Chapman falls. It’s very near to the parking area. We went at the beginning of fall season. So, water was less but still it’s a scenic place to snap some memorable pics.. The only drawbacks I can say is there’s no proper restrooms. There were CSR’s , the movable ones. Apart from that, Overall , a great place. Will visit again.
