
Amazing hike, we parked at the trailhead off 309 N and hiked the Appalachian up through Knife's Edge, P's Peak, and Bear Rocks. Definitely not for the faint hearted. A lot of climbing over boulders, and inclines!! Knife's Edge is awesome and is well marked just be sure to stay close to the blazes, maintain three points of contact on the steep bits and take some pictures on the flat rocks! The views on each side were incredible. After passing Bear Rocks (which my younger brother and I climbed for some more awesome views) the trail mostly evens out before arriving at the Bake Oven Knob parking lot. We headed straight through it and climbed a lot more boulders before making it up to the "Knob". Breathtaking views, one of the more intense we've done but it was an incredibly rewarding hike. Unfortunately, this is no longer a hidden gem and is quite busy on weekends and nice days. If you are planning to come and visit. Wear appropriate footwear, flip flop sandals, etc. are going to have you breaking your ankles. Sneakers with good traction and or boots are perfect. The rocks leading up to the overlook from the parking lot might be strenuous for some. Pack water, otherwise its a easy approximately 1 mile...

But considering the easy hike to get there and the amazing view I saw I gotta say nmwhen you go there you won't be disappointed. I remember for rolling by me and it felt eye to eye with me and was one of the greatest sunrises I have seen to this day. It clears to the most beautiful view I'll never forget.
