We went on the 4th of July 2025, and it was too crowded. They did have multiple trash cans assembled all over, but you could smell them a block away. They were not properly spraying the cans out when pulling bags out. The water park was way too overcrowded. The lazy river had so many people in it that you couldn't even see the water; people were lying on top of each other, basically. The lines to the water slides were so long you could maybe ride one of them 2x. Several rides everywhere needed updating maintenance, such as rusted areas, old paint falling off, scary rattling steps, nasty picnic tables that needed pressure washing, and several rides not working. The big wave from the lazy river was not working either. The bumper cars only had a few cars working, which made it no fun. When you would go back and forth between the water park and regular park, they were strict and mean about putting a shirt on, yet they didn't say a word about young girls walking around in thong swimsuits and the tops so skimpy they only covered their nipples. Not child-appropriate when this is a family place. The locker area smelled like rotten urine, as if people would pee when they were getting dressed over there. The whole park needed weed-eating so badly that grass and weeds had grown over everything. The miniature golf course, which charges an extra $4 to play, has mold and mildew all over the course, along with weeds growing out of the ball hole and fencing that needs painting or pressure washing; it's so nasty. It don't get me started with the games! These are such rip-offs and rigged. It's$3 a game and no matter how many people play you when the crappy little price is like a tiny plastic bead necklace. The Ferris wheel would only have 3 carts at a time when it's a 16-cart wheel. I don't know why that was, but it's been that way every time we've gone. We paid for the big cups that you could get $1 refills in, but it was almost impossible to get a refill. Funnel cakes have always been my favorite, but these young kids who make them don't know how to mix the batter properly or cook them right. They come out so thin and like a plate of little Krispies. The gift shop used to be a cool area while looking for what you wanna buy, but they had the exhaust fans that took hot air out and the air off, and it was hotter in there than outside. You didn't even want to look or buy anything. They have tables above the concession stand in front of the lake with big ceiling fans above, but they had those cut off and needed to be on bc it was about 97 degrees that day. In the bathrooms, they were out of a lot of soap. The poor workers were in that sun and heat with no fans except in a few areas. They used to keep the lake nice and clean-looking and sifted out where you could see the big catfish and turtles, but it was disgusting! Trees were overgrown, and stuff was not sanitized properly. This was my favorite place for years, but it's become overcrowded and run down. We spent about $600 to smell nasty stank everywhere. They weren't cleaning trash, etc, probably, and a lot of stuff was broken, rigged, or a rip-off. I'm so disappointed ☹️ I forgot to mention that the lazy river and water park needed cleaning because it was so cloudy looking and you could see pubic hairs, tons of leaves, and filth floating around. They needed more chlorine in the water. They have eating tables with umbrellas in the water park when you order food, but they are all taken up with people's towels, clothes, and shoes that are swimming and not eating. This needs to be stopped! My kids received a free Lake Winnie pass for good grades, but we couldn't use them; it had to be only on Tuesdays, which is hard for most parents to go during the work week. If you live in town and want something expensive to do for the weekend, then sure, go, but I wouldn't recommend it for an out-of-town traveler! Not worth the money. SMH do better owners of Lake Winnipesaukee, bc y'all are all about huge profit without the upkeep and sanitisation. The fireworks were...
Read moreI was so disappointed with my recent visit last weekend. The rides were faded , the water was green not clean like it used to to be ,let just say it was never quote un quote clear but the fish was very visible as you walked the side of the water this time I did not and could not see them, the rides were faded out ,the colors were just chalky. The food was not appealing at all , it took way to long to get your food and drink like 15 minutes for two hotdogs and another 7minutes for the young man to try to figure out how to make two drinks . He had been making very slowly drinks the whole 17 minutes ,he was very well versed how to pick up a cup put ice in the cup put the drink mixture in the cup place somewhat a lid on the cup and slide it over to the side then repeat.he was just not in a hurry to do so. To the point a customer started calling out drink orders, and food orders. Whoever was managing these young people had no skill either, customers were scattered and confused on where to go and what to do ,there was no real direction or instruction on what to do if you got your order in which was difficult in itself .The food was nasty nothing like it once was. The rides yeah we paid $98.00 for two adults to ride two worn out rides that was faded not maintained and not very entertaining, the carousel ride went around three times and stopped , I remember when it would go round for at least six times if not more , it was quick and done I feel like the train goes a little faster as well, I remember taking for ever and being able to see a lot of the attractions and history from the train, it went so quickly that the old portion of the ride where the engineers would describe the attraction point like the home the fish the other areas was not there just a recording quickly breezing by the attractions. You could see workers that took care of the rides wondering around or being in the back part of the park working on bumper cars, cannonball carts, carousel horses, ect . I believe the main focus has become the water park with the rest of the park being neglected . Now keep in mind I was not alone I had people who rode other rides unfortunately they were very quick rides and not very entertaining for the price , the Himalayan ride was nasty faded and very questionable on safety ,I do remember when it was bright colorfull ,the flooring was yellow with the wheel tracks on the floor ,the colors of the rides were bright and vibrant , not any more so I guess we pay soooo much more for less ,for the lack of interest from the owners to keep the legacy , the smell of the food cooking ,walking through the park ,the popcorn ,the cotton candy being made in the middle of the park ,the sounds of the rides ,the games were always entertaining ,not any more they just sit there in their own world not even looking at the customers passing by ,I really missed the welcoming environment the thrill and excitement of going to lake Winnie , just sad and disappointing I went there as a kid ,my kids went ,my grand kids ,and now I took my great grandkids and sad to say I...
Read moreMy 2 yr old grandson loved the rides he got to ride and don't get me wrong there were options for a child that small ,, but there were more just no one working them ,, yet they had concession stands with 3/4 workers standing around the corner giggling together I watched plenty people go up and ask could they order and were told you order at the front ya we been standing there listening to y'all ,, anyway they sell you cup for so much that can refill for dollar and here in 2023 when you return for refill are told you have to spend 10 dollars to use your card ,, hello almost everyone uses a card ,, or tap phone apple pay Google pay whatever not here you won't ,, just common sense tells you it's easier to keep up with card than stack of cash ,,, they know that ,, yet every place in there says same thing ,,, so better off bringing cooler that is loss of sales on their behalf ,, we have Alabama adventure in Birmingham closer to us it has free drinks all over park newer updated water park and slides ,,, as well as rides ,,, and I'm sure even cheaper ,,, I say this for fact that everyone like less say 97%of staff was rude ,, I mean to the point of a girl running the little boats my grandbaby 2 is being helped into his boat by his mom who looked at worker and said is there some kind of seat belt? Reply was ya and continue to walk off my daughter said do you not have to strap the kids in ? The girl look and said I can if you want me too ,,, my daughter said ya I would love for you to be like every other park around the world,,, my friends teen children were there too and had gotten on roller coaster and no one even attempted to check strap or anything before starting the ride they freaked out and strapped them selfs after the ride had started same with the drop thing like most places the worker don't start rides till every one is strapped and they have checked it's right ,,, makes no sense they care nothing about the safety yet they will real quick say you can't ride this too tall or short and say it's safety reasons ,,, wow ,,, no strapping people children whatever in is safety not how tall or short or not as urgent ,,, so the kids had a good time but our next visit to park the month of July will be Alabama adventure safer closer cheaper ,,, and all the workers know how to communicate with customers not rude little remarks and eye rolling,,, or maybe 6 flags either way as much as we wanted lake Winnie to become our go to for summer adventures it was disappointing we were treated rudely ,, felt it unsafe and there was a lot of rides not running possible not enough workers everyone is suffering from that situation,, or maybe not operational? But it's based on family they promote it family fun safety 1st training our employees to best ,,, that was unfounded by the 6 1/2 hrs we spent there ,,, the kids enjoyed it but as parents we know why not too many were there ,,, wish it would of been all they promote it to be in...
