Love the park for my son, we come here often. It has a playground, pond, soccer fields, football field, tennis court, baseball diamond and drinking well water fountain. Only thing I don't like is that the pond is close to the playground and there isn't a fence to keep tots away. It is a great place for my 22mo old to run off some toddler energy!

Excellent park. Smaller and more low-key than nearby Nevers Park, but with plenty of amenities. Playground with a small duck pond, basketball courts, soccer and football field, and brand new pickleball courts! Also, a very well maintained system of hiking/biking trails. It's definitely a great destination for outdoor fun in South Windsor.

Mountain biking heaven. There is a hidden amazing mountain biking trail here. We did the purple, which connects through yellow into red. We are exploring more of the trail and will update this post. Also, it is important to keep coming back here so trail stays maintained.

Great place for the kids to play sports, and an area that I've been familiar with most of my life. Although there have been many great improvements here over the last 20 years, I have to say that the bathroom facilities maintenance is not one of them. Football Sundays are an aberration in this regard, as both the portolets and the stationary facilities aren't cleaned or supervised to any extent imaginable by advanced humans. If the football booster parents spent one iota of time admonishing the players not to be animals in the restrooms, I would have given 5 stars. Maybe worry less about selling soda and candy to future diabetic linebackers, and more about general hygiene practices. I'd post a picture of what I saw, but I don't like making people sick. If you don't buy the soda, I suppose, you may not even notice... Oh, and if they're looking to further improve, make sure that the kids take off their hats during the National Anthem. These moments are where kids learn respect at...

Very large sports field. Baseball diamond, football field and multiple soccer fields. Often in use during the weekends for town teams. The field is in great condition (although spots can get pretty soggy after heavy rains). There is also a pond and play area for little kids. Plenty of parking and the football stadium is lit for night games. There is a snack shack with bathrooms that are usually locked unless there are games going on. Otherwise, there are also a few...

Rye Street park has some awesome mountain bike trails that are kept in Tip-Top shape and are rideable for many skill levels including some raucous mountain bikers that include tight twisty turny sections with short steep challenging climbs and fun short fast descent that wind through a relatively small section of woods with interesting geography,...
