Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge is a must visit for anyone that loves the outdoors. There is abundance of wildlife. The butterfly trail is amazing there are so many butterflies and skippers. The birds of prey are also abundant and the birder will love walking the trails. There are so many different bird species to look see. There are deer everywhere so please watch for them as you are driving. There are lots of trails to explore as well as a boardwalk. Don't forget to visit the gift shop and information center. It is a little out of the way; but, so worth the visit. There are also bathrooms if you are looking. The volunteers are a plethora of information on the area, the history and the wildlife.

Many trails to walk. Lots of wildlife to see. Great place to visit if you enjoy nature. While its lovely to visit during the colder months, its much better during the summer when the flowers are at full bloom. The butterfly field is my absolute favorite! Not to mention on the clear days, you can see Baltimore, the key bridge, bay bridge and much more across the bay! I love visiting this area. Great for fishing, walking, exploring and taking photos!

What a fantastic few hours my husband and I spent exploring this wildlife refuge! The sounds of nature amongst the quiet backdrop really is something that revitalizes the soul. From seeing a majestic Bald Eagle set high upon his perch to the greetings of the butterflies and dragonflies really made our visit special. No worries of the world when you spend time here completely wrapped in the arms of nature.

As far a nature reserve it's pretty cool. Nice views and a good place to fish and see certain wildlife. If you like butterflies be sure to check out their butterfly garden when it's in season. It's the most amazing thing you'll see, thousands of butterflies flying all around you at once. Perfect for a date if you time it right. Also a great place for crabbing and fishing. If you like fishing and can't find a spot there are several here. Has hidden beach if you like collecting horseshoe crab shells or old fishing lures. Plenty of different trails to walk. Lots of beautiful sights. If your in Rock Hall or close by it's a definite to do for your visit. Not the best fishing place in the area but has...

First-time visitor on Tuesday November 12th 2024. I discovered this area on Maps so I took a few days off and come to Maryland for a visit. The wildlife was kind of sparse which can be expected for mid-November. Ospreys were out and about and some were circling really low. No deer were seen but I did see a fox darting across the road on my way down. The weather was perfect. I could see the tops of the Bay Bridge and traffic crossing on the bridge on Kent Island. I hiked a few trails and took lots of pictures. The whole island was a wonderful and relaxing experience for me. I would love to come back in the...
