Where to Go in Boston for the Weekend – Cape Cod Camping / 2-Day Itinerary

We entered at the National seashore entrance by the Nauset lighthouse. It’s a steep, steep walk up and down with a. Switchback in the path. The beach itself is pretty but has many rocks and steep bluffs. This beach is pretty but I prefer the outer (near Provincetown) National seashore beaches over this one. There’s a modest parking lot and they do charge/check passes (National park service) during the day. There’s bathrooms and you can walk over to the lighthouse from the parking lot. The fun part of our time here was watching all the seals playing in the waves along the whole beach! There were also many surfers due to the big waves.

We biked here from The Captain’s Quarters Motel. A pleasant 3ish mile ride. Free for biking which helped make up for $80 renting the 3 bikes. We saw seals all afternoon though the pictured one was the closest. I’ve never seen one in the wild so this made my entire vacation. Pretty rocks collected. Not much for shells but we came near high tide? Not a ton of people either.

My family vacationed here years ago, and we had the best time!!

I do remember that there was a little place where you could get ice cream just before the boardwalk of Nauset Beach.

They made this shake called The Coffee Blast. OMG It was amazing!! For the life of me, I can't remember the name of the place. We are going to be spending a week there this summer, so I was hoping to find out before...
