Use to be a great park I literally went there everyday enjoy nature went to my first pagan circle back in 2000 , ever since never stopped till they started charging for parking. Unbelievable they say it's to use the money to pay for upgrades on the property. When Blanchard Ames passed away there was money in the trust that was also donated that would kept the park up to date that would be like $10,000,000 for many many many years to come. Other then that the park rangers get paid by state . So state parks are money by the state. Friend use to be a ranger , parks algae a separate trust there's millions in there No reason for the park to charge for parking . Guarantee you if you check these people books someone's pocketing money . They found a way how to make money from citizens to survive themselves. Don't believe me ! Ask these people's books .there's a book keeper in the park sure there is . That's sad a park that was well informed kept grounds and nature walks . But ain't no sucker following for park fees. (((( Don't be either. Understand this the park has been donated to the state what like 50 years plus ago . Where else do think they have money to keep it running. Lol but you know someone always covers it up by posting a comment saying other wise just watch the comments come in under this post .....

And fun history to learn if your interested. Love this place we've come twice now and it's such a...

Didn't seem like anyone was ever home. Never went inside or did anything bad. Remember a giant copper dragon as a fountain by the pond. The shed had an old pump up and down firetruck of sorts. One time we heard someone famous had just...
