Beautiful hike through fir spruce trees and blueberries, tasty blackberries, wild raisin, all leading to ocean views and shore walk. Sadly invasive fire ants and very invasive Japanese rises all over especially beginning of trail that are killing native plants and wildlife. Good views of pen raised salmon floating in ocean. Some say very polluting and some say on shore is safer. But I need to keep researching before eating them. I am glad many towns are removing dams to hopefully allow wild salmon to return...and more...
Read moreI use to come here all the time but since 2019 I was only here once in 2024 an that's when I noticed the lack of maintenance to the trails,they need to be trimmed some parts of the walk-way is very overgrown in several areas, I thought about clearing pathways myself but I haven't gone back yet. Something needs to be done with the red ants, either bring in several colonies of black ant which will kill the red ants or buy stuff...
