Sunny Day Farms Bakery & General Store — Attraction in Edge Hill

Being new to middle Georgia, we were looking for something fun to do with a very active 2 year old. We came across Sunny Day Farms and instantly fell in love. Upon Google searching we found it listed as being open Monday--Saturday from 9am-6pm. We made the hour and a half drive up to Louisville, GA to find out that Google has there hours of operation listed incorrectly. This adorable farm is owned and operated by the most wonderful family. The owner happened to be there doing some work and saw us sitting outside in our van. She came out and told us the hours were listed incorrectly. She allowed us to explore and enjoy her property and refused to except payment! Our family very much enjoyed ourselves and we would definitely recommend visiting Sunny Day Farms! We have found our new favorite strawberry patch. Our standard is Gurosiks in North Augusta and this place is on par or better. The strawberries are juicy and plump. Pick your own with 1 gallon bucket is $12. They also have plenty of pre-picked buckets too. While there, try the strawberry ice cream. This is by far the best strawberry ice cream we have ever had. It’s not vanilla with a few strawberries thrown in. It is primarily strawberry to the point it is pink in color and the flavor is amazing. The kids had cones and my wife and I split a strawberry shortcake. It is a slice of pound cake, layer of strawberry ice cream, and whipped cream on top. Amazing flavor. What a sweet bubble of peaceful heaven! The people here are so kind. We went for their homeschool day in autumn and everyone had such a blast. There is so much to do for everyone. They sold yummy hot dogs and hamburgers but you were welcome to bring your own lunches and eat at the picnic tables under the pavilion. The cafe and gift shop inside was not overpriced.
