Barn & Bottle Winery — Attraction in Effingham

Enjoyed spending sister time Sunday afternoon at this serene and peaceful winery. The atmosphere was so welcoming it felt like home. The owners were excellent hosts and shared the qualities of all the different wines they offered. The design of the building and all of its surroundings envelops you as if one feels it was designed to make each individual feel as if it was built especially to suit one's taste. Our group of 7 stopped in here for a couple of hours. Very nice place with good wine and food. We did a tasting and ordered a couple of bottles of Ducking Good wine and a couple of wine slushies to drink with our food. The deluxe charcuterie board is good. The Pretzels came with 2 cheese sauces. Everything was good but our favorite was the Bosco sticks (bread sticks stuffed with cheese). There's outside seating in view of a small pond with a few ducks. Fantastic wine. Every. single. one. Post Oak (dry red) might have been my favorite but the Harvest Gold (semi sweet white) was awesome too.
