The trail up to the Green Mt. Fire Tower is very steep all the way with covered rolling rocks most of the way. This time of year the trail is covered with leaves so it makes it difficult to see what you are stepping on. There is a beautiful path through the forest of Spruce trees that I really enjoyed hiking through just before you peak through where the Fire Tower is. The Fire Tower is set secluded in the forest and is so magnificent. Unlike any other Fire Tower I have hiked up to. The Tower is tall and has recently been renovated, looks so nice. The views were wonderful at the top. The challenging hike up is well worth it. The hike down is much easier.

Parked near the treatment center. Old logging road up the first half with a moderate incline. 2nd half was much steeper and rockier. Ice was on part of the trail. Didn’t need spikes but probably will soon.

Parking area on Hobbs Road at Dearborn Trailhead. The trail is steep and is about a 3 mile hike there and back, but worth it in the end. Fire tower at the summit gives you great views of surrounding areas.
