Another amazing dinosaur museum! This museum, though tiny, boasts a cast of Wyrex the T-Rex that greets you when you first walk into the museum section. The Carter County Museum has an impressive collection of historical artifacts, dinosaurs and and local objects that will keep you fascinated. The staff is friendly and the museum is free. The Midway Motel is close by and the excellent Wagon Wheel Cafe is right across the way. Add this to your...

This jewel of a small museum in the very small town of Ekalaka provides a few rooms of interesting exhibits. You probably won't spend more than 45 minutes or an hour here, but during that time you'll get an overview of the history of the area, geology, and other topics -- but the best part is for sure the dinosaurs. Stop by the gift shop on the way out for some reasonably-priced souvenirs... oh, and drop some money in the donation box on...
