Really nice park. On the 1/2 Mile drive into the park we were greeted by a half dozen deer and I swear one winked at me. We checked in, staff was very helpful. Not only do they have a nice pamphlet of the park itself they have a display of pamphlets for the other state parks in Arkansas( great idea). They have kayak, boat and boat slip rentals. Perfect place for being on the water as the Moro bay and Raymond lake both join the Ouachita river on the park grounds so you have plenty to explore. They also have live bait for the anglers. After check in we drove to our site just in time to witness a beautiful healthy red fox meander across the meadow. The Rv sites are the best I’ve seen. Asphalt pad bordered by cement slab for picnic table and a good size stoned area with lantern post and fire pit. You also have what appears to another 10/10 bordered stone area if you would like to pitch a tent or set up a canopy. Water, sewer , and electric are perfectly placed so when you park you don’t need extra hoses to reach them. The best ( and hardest to find) part about the site is that after I backed in I turned on my Level mate pro and I was perfectly level. 15 states and this was the first place where that has happened to us. The state park in another state that we just came from was 10.5 low in the rear which is why we left and came to Moro Bay. The grounds are well kept and everything is clean. They also have the old ferry and tug to explore which was a nice plus. We really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to coming back when we can stay longer. Thank you Arkansas and the Moro Bay staff, you are part of a great park and your hard work does not...
Read moreLast minute getaway before school starts. Checked into cabin #1 (only cabin available if traveling with a dog) and it was beyond what I was expecting. The cabins are well maintained and my family of 5 fit very comfortable. It comes with a full kitchen so we made the 30 minute trip to Walmart to stock up. At the state park we rented a little boat and cruised the river. We stopped at a little sand bar and the kids swam and played in the sand. Tried our hand at fishing and walked away with a few small fish for the grill. The fish are out there if you are looking to spend the day just fishing. Ranger Corbin was super sweet and helpful. Overall if you are looking for a place to just getaway and enjoy the quiet to just relax, this is the place. The kids kids had a good time outdoors and were tired from the day that they just showered, ate, and went to sleep. Barely even got on their...
Read moreVery friendly and helpful staff. I was super impressed with how nice the cabin was. There is plenty of room and a nice screened in back porch overlooking the water. I would encourage the oark to shorten the cords on the blinds so that when they are raised they aren't a hazard for smaller children, but that's just the anxious mama in me and we don't have smaller children so it wasn't an issue for us. Also, we were looking forward to the trails, but they appear to be under water alomg with the boat launch area and I wish that we would have been notified when we booked or maybe an email if it happened between when we booked and when we arrived. They have a nice park with a slide, seesaw, zip line, and bounce pad. They also have rentals at the store in the park that rent kayaks, bikes, paddle boats, etc. We plan on checking...
