The Roads Church - Norris City, IL — Attraction in Eldorado

My husband and I have attended for the last 10 years and have grown SO much spiritually, individually and as a couple. My husband is an Iraqi War vet and diagnosed with PTSD after his time in the Army. He is one of the few not dependent on drugs or alcohol and his counselors marvel at wonderful he has done in comparison to his peers. He attributes that to God, and specifically our joining this church at exactly the right time in both of our lives. I was saved at an early age but in and out of church after a very painful experience at a place I trusted that devastated my walk with the Lord for years. CBC, now The Roads Church, has encouraged me to let God work all things together for the good of myself and others and that EVERY member is a minister! Pastor Chad is one of the most transparent and humble people I have ever met and the counsel he has given my family has been the reason my husband and I have been together for these 10 years and why we love each other more today than we did the day he married us!

Pastor Dawn has been a huge part of my parenting journey and my children are forever blessed by her encouragement!! I thank God for her almost every day! She, too, gives God all glory and has been such a wonderful mentor in my life!

About 4 years ago, after the birth of my first child and experienceing major post partum depression and being diagnosed with an autoimmune thyroid condition I was at an all time low. I went through the sozo counseling program with Mrs. Linda Klingel and that was a huge breakthrough and turning point in my life.

I am eternally grateful for this ministry at The Roads Church and praise God Pastor Chad answered the call on his life, as well as the rest of the leadership and all of the sacrifices they have made to reach people where they are! I have learned here that one of the biggest lies of the enemy is that you have to come to God/church self righteously, or all “cleaned up.” The truth is that He wants you to come just as you are and when you give God your mess he will turn it into your ministry! Jesus did all the work, we just have to believe, agree then receive freely everything He died to give us-salvation, healing (mind body and spirit) and freedom through a relationship with Him! Praise God...

The Roads Church is an awesome church that wants everyone to use their God-given gifts to reach people from all Roads of life with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to bring people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and disciple people on how to have a life changing relationship with the Lord through the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through us to become more like Jesus Christ everyday. The church has an awesome Pastor who want everyone to know and understand the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through God's word and through the power of the Holy Spirit because walking in Spirit and Truth is what draws people to a loving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and let's the Holy Spirit lead, guide, and direct us in the right direction and path that makes us more like Jesus everyday. I have been going to this church for about 5 years and I am able to learn and grow in the Lord while using my teaching gift by being a part of the Children's ministry which I love so much that the Lord gave me an awesome church where I can love and teach His Children. I am the happiest I have ever been because they want everyone to use their God-given gifts the way God intended us too. I love how the church allows the children to use their gifts and talents too because everyone is allowed to be a part.of the dream team. Love my church! Been coming here since 2015. First experienced it during the "Zero shades of grey" sermon. I was unsure of what to expect, but since day one, my family and I never looked back. I have never experienced God the way that inhabI being a part of this church. I was raised a faith believing Christian, saved at 5 years old. Church was something we did every Sunday, worshipped God, heard the message. But this experience here was different than any before.bnot only did I hear God's word, I felt it! The music is the first time I've ever been moved by the spirit in song to the point of tears. I had no idea why I was crying, but they were joy in his truth. For the first time in my life, I EXPERIENCED, church, felt and absorbed God's word like Never before, but also saw a church family that didn't have a "holier than thou" attitude towards others "less fortunate" or "less holy" than them. Everyone is accepted, and treated equally, just as Jesus did. The spirit of God is alive in this church, I have grown 100 fold.in my walk with the Lord just from what I've learned being here. The breakdown of the message, and the meanings of everything really speak to me, and go beyond"hearing" the message. God lead me and my family here so we could know him even more 5yan we already did, and allowed us to know just how much deeper his love truly is. Thank God for The Roads, and I love them...
