It’s a large tree farm, with nice Christmas trees, has 3 type of trees to choose from pre-cut and Fraser fir, Douglas fir and I believe Blue Spruce. To cut your own was only Fraser fir. You get to choose from different sizes up to 10 feet. You get a wagon ride to the location and back. On the premise there is some food available and they suppose to have farm to table restaurant opening soon. There are two fire pits, gift shop with some hot chocolate inside. Microbrewery and a barn with some animals for kids to see/touch. Those are the positive points now comes the negative and this is why we gave it only 2 stars: only porter potties are available (it’s freezing cold plus with kids and all the jackets). For the size of the farm they were absolutely not equipped to handle large masses of people, we spend 1,5hour just to get on the ride, it took us about 30 min to cut the tree. But than another hour waiting to get the ride back. It took us exactly from 1pm to 4.45pm until the tree was strapped to the car. There was no one available to help carry the tree to the car or lifting it.
Things to know: dress extra warm, it’s very windy over there. Bring working gloves to cut the tree. Some people had electric saws with them but they have some manual there to use. Bring a cover for the roof of the car, they give you straps. Wear good shoes, boots preferably, it gets very dirty and dusty on the premises.
It’s a neat place but be prepared to wait for an hour or longer in a cold just to get the ride and the same way for...
Read moreI started going the Elizabeth Farms with my kids in 2005 and have been going every year since. My daughter now 20 still loves the tradition of going to cut down our tree. But over the past 5 years the farms has taken a drastic change and not for the better. I have pictures and videos of my kids enjoying horse drawn wagon rides, a full gift shop packed with items, the smell of fresh roasted nuts filling the air, and an over-all down home feel. But over the past 5 years this place has taken a turn for the corporate / commercial life and greed. Prices of the trees have skyrocketed beyond belief, and we no longer have the experience we once had. It's all about food and wine, and filling corporate profits, taking away the memories and fun we once had. I know a lot of people like this place today, but sadly they don't know what it once was and haw it was just simple family fun. And this year I even saw new barns replacing where we once hiked to cut our trees. My daughter and I agreed it's not what it used to be and this will be our last year. $215 to put a 7 1/2 foot tree in my house is crazy. I know friends who purchase a 14 foot tree this year, cut your own, for $116. I paid twice as much for half the tree. I always justified the price because of the experience, but the experience is no longer there and that's a shame. Good by Elizabeth Farms. Thank you to the previous owners for years of...

Elizabeth Farms, You can try and justify a $200 tree, or even tell us that there are red tagged trees for $25. But be serious, those trees are 2 feet tall Charlie Brown Christmas trees. I was there, I looked and saw these with my own eyes. You talk about the cost of inflation and how everything is up, but your farm for some reason is DOUBLE the price of a Christmas tree. You are trying to recoup the whopping 7 million dollar purchase you made by price gouging your loyal consumers. Did you notice that 90% of the cars drove off without a tree? During the highest inflation, your community is struggling with feeding their families, buying Christmas presents, and getting gas. You are taking the opportunity to try and make as much money during a vulnerable time. You are losing the community that built the foundation of Elizabeth farms. You are destroying...
