It's a very pretty place to host an event. But a word of caution though if you choose to rent the visitor center. You will have A LOT of random people waltz into the building either not paying attention or just not caring. I hosted a bridal shower this past Saturday and ended up cutting it short due to so many people walking in and using the bathrooms and trying to tour the rental space. We had several incidents with people trying to barge in on our guests while they use the bathrooms, we had an entire group of people at one point being very rude with some of the bridesmaids that were trying find out why they were in the building and I had to stop the shower to make a woman leave because she walked into the shower and was "touring" the room while the bride-to-be was trying to open her gifts. It was crazy. Evidently balloons everywhere and a "reserved" sign at the entrance of the building doesn't...
Read moreSome of the animals are well cared for. Others, not so much. The worst area was the chickens. Over half of them have bloody, broken feathers and entirely bald spots. One chicken murdered and started eating a baby chick in front of us. These animals need medical attention and the problem chickens need to be removed from the rest. I understand the baby chick being eaten as animals being animals, but if all the chickens in the pen require medical attention, then that's on the owners. One of the horses was crying, which doesn't mean it is necessarily sad. It does mean that a vet needs to check the ducts to make sure there's no blockage or that the eye doesn't have an infection. The tear stains show it has been going on for a while, so I truly hope that a vet is already involved in treatment. I hope the owners will fix the current issues because it's a decent little...
Read moreI used to take my daughter here when she was young and she Loved it. I always liked how you could feed the ducks, visit the farm animals and then the kids could play on the playground while you have a nice afternoon lunch. We went there a few weeks ago for the first time in quite a few years, and it seemed most of the farm animals were no longer there. The ducks are no longer aloud to be fed, im not sure why, as that was one of my daughters favorite things to do there was to bring a loaf of bread with us for the ducks! We did go by the new Large playground and small water park but they were both super crowded so we decided not to stay. I think its a great place to take your young children to run off some of that energy they seem to never run out of, and to have a nice BBQ or picnic. The small water park is also free and something fun for the...
